UIF Status Check Online USSD

The USSD platform can be used to check your UIF status by dialing 134843# from any mobile phone. You will then see a menu with several options to choose from, such as claims and payment status, employee registration, payment continuation, and general inquiries.

UIF Status Check Online Through Email

You can also send an email stating your request to online.BCP@labour.gov.za along with your personal details. Please include your name, identity proof, and UIF registration number in the email. Provide accurate details to avoid any delays in your application’s processing.

Who is Eligible for UIF?

You have the following options as an employee

• You can submit a claim under the Unemployment Insurance Fund for various benefits.
• The Unemployment Insurance Fund allows you to request payment for various benefits.
• You can view the history of your claims here.
• Please submit an appeal notice.
• You can check your employee declaration status by clicking “Employment” in the left menu.

Employers who are domestic can

• Employers should register as domestic employers.
• Ensure that your domestic employee’s contributions to the UIF fund are declared and paid.
• Check your declarations to make sure they are current.

In your role as a practitioner, you can

• Employers may request that you register them domestically and/or commercially.
• Employers must submit declarations.
• Employers and employees can be managed using the Declarations manager.
• Manage employer details and declarations.

The following options are available to third-party delegates

• Pay for an organization on behalf of the organization.
• The declaration manager can be used to navigate between employers.
• Employers can be added and contributions can be paid.

If you are a commercial employer, you can

• Become a commercial employer.
• Create a company and manage declarations.
• Contribute to the UIF fund by declaring and paying your company’s contribution.
• Make sure your declarations are up-to-date.
