Extract Aspects in Diablo 4
To extract Aspects, players need to salvage Legendary items at any Blacksmith. When you encounter an item with an Aspect you haven't yet learned, it will be marked with a crossed-weapons logo. Steps to Extract Aspects:

After the Season 4 update, all Aspects can be found in the Codex, whether they were discovered in dungeons or extracted at the Blacksmith. However, keep in mind that you still need to search for the highest-tier versions of each Aspect to maximize your character's potential. The Codex may contain unlocked Aspects, but the best versions will have greater affixes.

Changes in Aspect Extraction
Previously, the Occultist was responsible for extracting Aspects. Now, the Occultist only helps with changing them. To modify an Aspect on your gear, go to the Imprinting tab at the Occultist and select the desired Aspect from the Codex of Power. Using Aspects in Diablo 4

Note that some Aspects are specific to certain types of equipment—some can only be placed on weapons, while others are reserved for armor.
